Research Project: Pacific Oyster Distribution
In April 2007 an extensive shore
based survey was commissioned to record the distribution and
abundance of the non-native Pacific Oyster Crassostrea
gigas within the inter-tidal zone of the North East Kent
European Marine Sites. A second phase of the project was commenced
in February 2009.
